November 2, 2004, Christian F. Dubia, Jr. wins trial for Mr. Crane, Inc. against Jonatkim Enterprises for specific performance of a real estate purchase agreement. The case was tried over 11 days in Orange County Superior Court before the Honorable Andrew P. Banks. The case had been litigated for two years by another firm for the client before DETLAW substituted in just four months before trial. Our client received a judgment for specific performance and was awarded $683,000 in attorneys' fees and costs as an offset to the purchase price.
February 2004, Christian F. Dubia, Jr. was recently included in the list of Southern California Super Lawyers 2004 as one of the top Business Litigation trial attorneys in Orange County, California. Chris was identified through a general survey of more than 65,000 attorneys in Los Angeles and Orange counties. All attorneys were asked to vote for the best lawyers they have personally observed in action. Each lawyer was given a score based on the number of votes received. Votes received from lawyers in other firms were awarded significantly more points than votes received from lawyers in the same firm. In addition to the general survey, a research staff reviewed the credentials of all candidates and assigned points based upon defined evaluation criteria. For further information on the selection Southern California Super Lawyers 2004 process go to www.superlawyers.com. Chris and his partners, Michael R. Tenerelli and Mark D. Erickson have all received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell (AV) which, through a similar survey process of peers, shows that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.
